Hallowe'en!

Tyler and I are dressing up as the characters from Corpse Bride. I found a perfect blue wig yesterday and tomorrow I am shopping for cheesecloth for a skirt and veil, and a white corset. Should be good!

The Emo-Goth Nerd Post

Hey Kids! It's almost time for the 3D remake of the Nightmare Before Christmas, out soon....should be fun stuff!

Also, I have resisted the lure of My Chemical Romance for long enough...I really like the new video for Welcome to the Black Parade starring Lukas Haas from Brick! Watch it here on youtube, or else on muchmusic at least once an hour.

Finally, there is a new sushi restaurant at Yonge and Bloor called Sushi Train that I am looking forward to checking out. The idea is that you choose from many small plates that are moving past you on a conveyer belt. Perfect for low-attention-span me.

Building Demo at Yonge and Adelaide

Ok, I just thought that was sort of neat - it looks like it's been bombed. This is the former parking garage building west of Yonge on the north side of Adelaide.

So, as you can see, there hasn't been much going on to blog about lately. I was out at the Beaver on Friday night, hanging with the 22 year old hipster set. The Beaver is the new Parkdale hot-spot owned by
Will Munro (of Vazaleen fame) and others. Of course I spent most of the evening freezing on the patio.

I just bought the dvd set of
Arrested Development - my favourite tv sitcom ever! You must watch this show - it's awesome!! Also, pre-purchased the first season of Beverly Hills 90210 which should arrive in early-November, hurray!

Finally, the movie
Running With Scissors is out this week in Toronto, next week elsewhere. I have high hopes for this. It looks sort of like The Royal Tenenbaums - one of my favourites.

And that's all I have to report for now, hopefully my life will become a little more interesting soon.

Kate Moss Agent Provocateur Ads, etc.

This week on Fashion Television I learned that Kate Moss is starring in a series of ad spots for Agent Provocateur directed by Mike Figgis.

I would have expected these to be cooler than they actually are, but unfortunately, they kind of remind me of a cross between the Paris Hilton night-vision sex tape and The Blair Witch Project.
Anyways, I'm sure they will be hugely popular regardless.

After being so completely impressed by the Islands' show at the Opera House last Thursday, I spent Saturday afternoon looking around the web for Islands' related stuff, which was difficult. I did find a neat little spot called the Secret Unicorns Forum where they have some decent pictures and a lot of good bootlegs of various concerts. I downloaded a Swedish show and spent the rest of the weekend listening to it. Fun stuff.
